RC Technologies offers two $1,000 scholarships, individually awarded to two students whose families or legal guardians are current patrons of RC Technologies. Areas reviewed by the RC Scholarship Committee include, but are not limited to, the following: Personal Essay, Letters of Recommendation, and Organizations. Scholarship funds are paid directly to the recipients. Once the RC Technologies Scholarship Committee receives proof of enrollment, the scholarship will be made available before the start of the first semester. The recipient is responsible for having verification of their intent to attend the college/university/technical school to the RC Technologies office in New Effington by start of the semester.

The Foundation for Rural Service annually awards scholarships to an exceptional group of rural students for their first year of college or vocational school. All applicants require sponsorship by an NTCA—The Rural Broadband Association member company to be eligible.

The South Dakota Telecommunications Association (SDTA) annually awards scholarships under two separate programs or scholarship funds administered by the South Dakota Community Foundation, those two programs/funds include “SDTA Memorial Scholarships” and “Brian Meyer Memorial Scholarships.”
